Coping Calendar for the month of April

Jazz Bear Reading Challenge
- Read 600 minutes (about 20 minutes a day) between now and April 27th and have your parents complete this form for a chance to earn prizes

- Feelings and emotions might be at an all-time high with so much time in the house and away from friends. This is an image all of your kids know that provides a handful of great strategies to help them calm down

Body Scan for Kids
- This is a Body Scan Meditation for Kids. It can help as you prepare for quiet time, bed time, your student needs to calm down. A great way to relax and be mindful of the moment
GoNoodle
- Most of your kids will know this website. A great way to get wiggles out, practice deep breathing (you all know how much I love this!), exercise, and HAVE FUN especially when the weather isn't cooperating to go out and play
Social and Emotional Read Alouds
- This is a list that I have been working on the last few weeks to help reteach the lessons that I teach in the classroom. There's a YouTube link to a read aloud of each of the books. They are great books to help reinforce many of the skills/lessons we have discussed this school year.

- Mo Willems is teaching students some "Lunch Doodles" each day through Facebook. It's a fun way to follow along with him to learn how to draw many of the kids favorite book characters.
